RHI account management

Everything your accreditation depends on, handled in one place

RHI payments run for years and depend on your records standing up to an Ofgem audit. We manage the paperwork so a missed declaration, a gap in fuel records or an out-of-date drawing doesn't put your payments at risk.

RHI-01

Application management

We take over the day-to-day running of your RHI account and keep your application file complete and current.

RHI-02

Amendments & changes

Changes of ownership, equipment or contact details, submitted to Ofgem correctly and followed through.

RHI-03

Schematic drawings

Updated system schematics that match what is actually installed in your plant room.

RHI-04

Fuel database

Fuel deliveries and supplier evidence recorded and organised, ready for any audit or query.

RHI-05

Service database

Boiler service records tracked, so maintenance history is always to hand.

RHI-06

Audit ready

Your file is kept ready for inspection at any time, and if an audit is called we help you prepare and respond.

Audit ready

If Ofgem audited your site tomorrow, would your file stand up?

Audits check that what is on paper matches what is in the plant room, and that your records cover every quarter you have been paid for. Gaps found at audit can mean payments are suspended or reclaimed. We keep every part of the file current, so an audit is a formality rather than a scramble.

If an audit is called, we pull the file together, help you prepare for the visit, and work through any actions that come out of it.

Second-hand RHI boilers & tariffs

Buying or selling an RHI-accredited boiler?

An accredited installation carries its tariff and its obligations with it. We help buyers and sellers understand what they're taking on and keep the accreditation intact through the handover.

  • Check the accreditation, tariff and remaining payment period before you commit
  • Review the site file for gaps in fuel, meter or service records
  • Handle the change-of-ownership notification and updated details
  • Update schematics if the boiler is moved or the system is altered
  • Carry on managing the account after the sale

Heating and heat recovery

Efficient, indirect heating and heat recovery for poultry and livestock buildings, available as supply only, supply and fit, or a full design, supply and fit package.

Better heat for a better shed

Direct fired gas heaters burn their fuel inside the shed. Every cubic metre of gas burnt adds CO₂ and water vapour to the air the birds breathe, which means wetter litter, more ammonia, and more ventilation to clear it, sending the heat you paid for straight out of the fans.

Indirect heating keeps combustion outside the living space. Hot water units and indirect fired gas heaters deliver clean, dry heat with no fumes, no added moisture and no open flame. Litter stays drier, ammonia and foot pad problems drop, and minimum ventilation can be kept low, especially in the first days of a crop.

Add heat recovery and the savings grow. Heat exchangers take the warmth out of the stale air you have to extract and use it to preheat the fresh air coming in, so far less fuel is needed to hold the right temperature.

  • Dry heatNo water vapour from combustion, so drier litter
  • Clean airNo CO₂ or combustion gases inside the shed
  • Even temperatureWarm air spread evenly, corner to corner
  • Less ventilationLess heat lost through the fans
  • Healthier birdsLower ammonia and fewer foot pad problems

Significant savings

What MultiHeat equipment can save

50%+saving on your heating bill with a SwitchSuperior or X changer heat exchanger
up to 80%heat recovery efficiency, taking the warmth from extracted air to preheat the fresh air coming in
up to 30%lower energy bills from a SnookSuperior indirect fired heater compared with direct gas heaters, with a return on investment in 2 to 3 years

Beyond the heating bill

Heat exchangers also make a big difference to the climate in the shed, and farmers don't always think of this straight away. It's hard to put a price on, but it matters enormously:

  • Drier litter
  • Less ammonia (NH₃)
  • Fewer health problems
  • Less need for antibiotics
  • Better feed conversion (FCR)

Figures from MultiHeat International. Actual savings depend on the building, flock and climate. We'll work out the figures for your site.

SnookSuperior

Brings fresh air into the shed over an air-to-air heat exchanger, warmed by indirect gas heat, for a perfect poultry house atmosphere. Flue gases go outside, so there is no open flame and no CO₂ in the shed. Can replace a 100 or 130 kW direct fired heater.

Akvaterm · UK supplier

Thermal storage

An accumulator tank stores heat so your boiler or heat pump can run at its most efficient, steady output instead of cycling on and off, and covers peaks in demand without oversizing the heat source.

Available as supply only, supply and fit, or as part of a full design, supply and fit package.

Poultry house heating

Complete heating installs for poultry houses

Broilers and chicks need steady, even warmth from day one. We design and install complete heating systems for poultry houses, matched to the site: hot water systems fed from a central boiler, direct or indirect fired gas heaters, and heat recovery to cut fuel use.

  1. Site surveyWe look at the house size, flock type and available fuel, and work out the heat load you need.
  2. System designWe recommend hot water or gas fired heating to suit the site, then plan heater positions for even temperatures across the whole house, with a schematic drawing.
  3. SupplyMultiHeat heaters and heat recovery units supplied direct, with Akvaterm tanks, pipework, gas connections and controls as the system needs.
  4. Installation & commissioningFitted, filled, tested and set up, with a walkthrough of the controls before your first flock goes in.
  5. AftercareOngoing support and servicing records kept, so the system keeps running flock after flock.
